A belt ring core winded with the primary winding forms the so-called high-current actuator coil. With the high-current actuator coil the secondary voltageis induced onto a high-current busbar which is led through the remaining hole and which is directly connected with the consumer load. A voltage increase results from the connection of more high-current transformers.
This high-current actuator coil is completely castand constructed with degree of protection IP 54. The compact cast kind of construction allows vertical as well as horizontal assembly. A stepwise change of the secondary voltage is possible by connecting and disconnecting high-current actuator coils which belong to one system. Furthermore, a stepless change of the secondary voltage is possible by regulating the primary circuitby means of a variable transformer connected inseries. Furthermore, it is possible to form a combination of stepwise and stepless regulation by regulating individual high-current actuator coils which belong to one system while the other part of the high-current actuator coils remains permanently switched to the voltage supply.
- power range up to 30 000 A*
- degree of protection: IP 54 fully cast construction (protection class 2)
* Higher power values are individually possible.
Example of use:
- e. g. electrical furnaces, oxalic acid baths, galvanic equipment, glass melting plants, test fields etc.
