Application

The electrical heated rotary drum furnace is used for direct-reduction – disintegration analysis according to ISO 11257 and the low temperature – disintegration analysis according to ISO 13930 of iron ores.

Description of equipment

This dynamic reduction test apparatus consists, according to the ISO-specifiactions 11257, of the hinged furnace with the necessary drive equipments for the engaged reduction rotary drum, measuring and control station and process gas controller.

The rotary drum furnace is designed as hinged horizontal furnace. In the open furnace will be embedded the reduction rotary drum and thereby simultaneously connected with the drive equipment.

The heating of the furnace is done via heating modules in which the heating coils are embedded. The heating is subdevided in 3 zones and works in conjunction with a program / master controller in a proven cascade regulation. The temperature regulation in the heating space is done via micro-processor controlled temperature regulation with thermocouples. Additionally is, according to the regulations, for each heating zone an over-temperature safety circuit installed.

The necessary process gas control unit for CO, CO2, H2, N2, CH4 with pressure reducer, precision pressure controller, flowmeters etc. can be provided as wall bracket mounting and stand bracket mounting. The process gas is led through the inbuilt gas preheating into the reduction rotary drum.
