Purpose

The electrically heated reduction test apparatus under load serves as static iron ore determination device acc. to ISO 7992 and ISO 11256 and can alse be used - without pressure - for different other ISO tests, e.g. ISO 11258, ISO 4695, etc.

Furnace Description

According to the ISO standards the reduction test apparatus consists of the pit furnace, the retort, the measuring and control station, the process gas control and the weighing equipment.

The reduction furnace is constructed as vertical tube furnace. The retort including pressure device hangs freely swinging inside the furnace below the balance. The furnace, the balance with the retort are built into a shock-resistant frame mount.

The temperature regulation as well as the gas control is done by a SIEMENS S7-PLC system control. Only the overtemperature safety circuits are designed acc. to the regulations for hardware controllers.

The gas regulation per gas circuit is equipped with pressure reducer, precision pressure regulator, flowmeter with visible floated element, gas mass flow regulator as well as magnetic valves. Through the built-in gas pre-heating unit the process gas is led into the reduction tube.

In order to move the balance laterally it is mounted on two linear carriages on the top of the frame mount.

The tumbler drums acc. to ISO 11256 or similar test drums are delivered ready for connection and with protection equipment.
